One of the first tricks most skateboarders learn is the ollie. The ollie is an important aspect of skateboarding and every skateboarder should learn how to do it, because the ollie is the foundation of just about every flatland and park skateboarding trick. You will be able to advance on to learning bigger and better skateboarding tricks once you have mastered the ollie.

This unique skateboarding trick was created in 1977 by a skateboarder named Alan “Ollie” Gelfand. Beginning skateboarders should take time to get used to riding their boards first before attempting to ollie. 3. Stay With Your Board: While your in the air stay with your board and don’t bail out.

4. Extend And Compress Your Legs: Extend your legs just a little and compress your legs to absorb the pressure from your landing.

5. Landing: Land the ollie and continue to skate away.
